About Homeless Health Care Los Angeles Street Outreach Team

Are you majoring in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology and are seeking a valuable internship opportunity that will help enhance skills related to your field? If so, then Homeless Health Care Los Angeles (HHCLA) has a volunteer opportunity for you! Presented to us by our very own Mount Saint Mary's Athenian Alum, Monica Quezada, HHCLA offers Mount students an opportunity to be apart of the Street Outreach Team.

Duties of the Street Outreach Team:

-Provide outreach and engaging to individuals experiencing homelessness in the streets, parks and encampments within the SEW (Silverlake, Echo Park, Westlake, Pico Union) region
-Complete CES Survey assessments to assist referrals with being entered into a housing database
-Follow up with CES participants after they have been surveyed and entered into the database
-Assist CES participants with obtaining documentation needed to get into permanent housing
-Take part in Educational trainings on a variety of topics to enhance your professional development within the social arena
