About Alexandria House - Tutor Volunteer Opportunity

Alexandria House is a non-profit transitional residence and house of hospitality providing safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to permanent housing.

Volunteer Opportunity: Alexandria House is seeking volunteers for the Afterschool and Teen Program between 3:30 to 8pm.
The Afterschool Program (K-5th) is from 3:30-5:30pm, where volunteers help children from K-5th grade with homework.
Tutoring for the Afterschool Program is from 5:30-6:30pm, where tutors individually help students excel in their education through practice.
Lastly, the Teen Program (6th-12th) is from 6-8pm, where tutors individually help students from 6th-12th grade.

Volunteer even if it is only one hour, Monday – Friday!
Tutoring in the Afterschool and Teen Program at Alexandria House offers volunteers the opportunity to have experience working with children. Also, they serve as a mentor and are able to make a difference in the lives of many.
