Hosted by: Montrose Restoration Committee
Students working on their senior project, Eddie Fish, Taylor Haggerty, Jolene Smith, Whitney Tompkins and Kyra Warner will meet during the summer to plan the event, contact potential sponsors, create ads for sponsors, arrange for promotional advertising, pick up food, popcorn machine, and other supplies. Additionally, students will create a music file for playing at the event, put up a promotional sign at the bottom of School Road, promote the event through Facebook, promote the event through Taylor Rental's electric sign on Dan Ricci's property at the bottom of Dump Hill (by Hart's trailer park), pass out fliers and tell people by word of mouth. On the night of the event, students set up tables, trash cans, put wipes in the porta-johns, sell food, take pictures, clean up the concession stand, make sure attendees are comfortable, meet with movie company representative to make sure he has everything needed, and rotate as needed. On the day after event, students make sure concession stand is clean, popcorn machine is returned to rental business, write thank you notes, clean up football field, take trash to dumpsters, etc. Students receive credit for 24 hours minimum. Communication between students is a Google drive specifically created for this event.
