About Day of Caring!

"Day of Caring" is an exciting day of volunteerism across the Monadnock region. Coinciding with the National Day of Service and Remembrance, these opportunities promote the spirit and value of volunteerism and demonstrate what we can accomplish when we LIVE UNITED.

We are inviting volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to take part in one of the many opportunities that have been organized. Projects will include serving individuals, families and non-profit agencies in need across the Monadnock region. From painting and cleaning to gardening and wood-stacking, there’s a project for everyone.

The event will KICK OFF at the American Legion Gordon-Bissell Post #4 at 8 am, where all volunteers will gather to receive breakfast, a LIVE UNITED t-shirt, and their project assignments. Volunteers will be dispatched to their project sites from the breakfast no later than 9:00 AM.

The day is coming up quickly... sign up early and reserve your volunteer spot on this exciting day!

Day of Caring events are hosted by the Monadnock United Way, in partnership with the Monadnock RSVP Volunteer Center, Southwestern Community Services and the American Legion Gordon-Bissell Post #4. We are so thankful for our community partners!

Application Process

Volunteers will be asked to complete a survey after signing up to provide some more information for the event coordinator.

NOTE: Volunteers will be matched to projects by the event coordinator based on their location, skills and personal needs. Unless prior arrangements are made, volunteers will receive their project assignments on the morning of September 11th.
