About Neighbors-In-Deed Volunteer

Neighbors-In-Deed is a friendly visiting program that aims to help people remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible. We pair volunteers one on one with seniors, veterans and their families, and people living with disabilities to provide ongoing companionship and aid. Our program helps to combat the feelings of social isolation and loneliness as well as providing assistance overcoming some the challenges that arise when living alone, such as grocery shopping and basic errands. In the words of one of our care recipients. “My volunteer and friend is a lot of help to me. I don’t know what I would ever do without her. She’s a real lifesaver.”

In addition to our one on one matches we can provide light handyman work to take care of small but critical projects such as window weatherization, installing or removing window ac units, fixing a hand rail, or installing grab bars. At the moment we have people waiting for a volunteer in Fitzwilliam and Rindge, but we are taking calls for services every week.

To learn more about our program you can visit us at www.monadnockvolunteercenter.org or check us out on Facebook by searching Monadnock RSVP Volunteer Center.
