RSVP is a national federally funded program by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) that engages adults age 55 and over in service activities that meet critical community needs at over 45 nonprofit and public agencies and in RSVP’s signature programs in Cheshire and Western Hillsborough Counties. Volunteers serve in diverse activities that meet local needs in priority focus areas of Education, Healthy Futures, Economic Opportunity, Disaster Services, Veterans and Military Families, and Environmental Stewardship. RSVP’s America Reads program pairs volunteers with students in grades K-3 to practice reading and writing weekly to help them become proficient readers by the end of third grade. Neighbors-In-Deed volunteers provide one-to-one, individualized friendship and non-medical assistance to seniors, adults with disabilities, and veterans and military families to help them maintain their independence in their homes. Through community partnerships and RSVP programs, RSVP works to improve social living conditions and create long-term change that produces healthy, well-educated and financially stable individuals and families in our community. We are a program of Monadnock Family Services, a Monadnock United Way agency.
*Offices are located in Keene and by appointment in Jaffrey.
