About Online Pro Bono Attorney via MS.FreeLegalAnswers.org

MVLP and the Mississippi Access to Justice Commission (ATJC) are proud to launch a new interactive website to assist low-income residents in Mississippi with their legal questions. Individuals can obtain legal advice by submitting a legal question through the website. Attorney volunteers can assist the individual anonymously by responding to legal questions by giving legal advice only.

ATJC and MVLP are in need of volunteers who will agree to provide this pro bono assistance at their convenience, from the office or at home. Questions will range from various areas of the law and will not be limited to a specific area. (Limited to non-criminal matters only; criminal questions will not be allowed on the site.) Attorneys who donate their time to this website will receive pro bono hours based on the amount of time spent on the website.

Not all of the Questions will be Family Law Related!

You'll find training and resource materials on the most commonly asked questions on the site.
You’ll receive a weekly reminder telling how many open questions there are by category.
You’re covered by MVLP Malpractice Insurance.

3. Register (only takes a minute).

What can you expect after signing up?
Your registration will be reviewed to ensure you have an active law license in the state of Mississippi.
When you're approved, you'll receive a welcome email.
You can start answering questions right away. Don't forget to record the time you spend researching the answer to document it for pro bono credit. There's a place to do that right on the GiveGab (and FreeLegalAnswers) site!
