Mission Graduates' Extended Day Program (EDP) is an after-school and summer program that focuses on positive youth development. The EDP serves over 1,700 children across four elementary school sites, spanning K-5th grades.
Volunteers spend time with our elementary school students and develop meaningful relationships. Each day, you would help students with their class work, recess, snack, participate in our themed-lessons and academic enrichment activities and support our Classroom Coordinators with daily lesson plans. Due to Mission Graduate's academic support reading levels have dramatically increased, 83% of our EDP students met or exceeded their reading level, come make an impact with us.
Our students receive targeted academic interventions and get to explore their interests in various electives, including cooking, science club, dance, recreation, STEM club, and more. Jump in and join us in our dynamic after-school program!
The Extended Day Program runs Monday-Friday from 2PM-6PM (times vary by school site). The Extended Day Program is located at the following school sites:
Leonard R. Flynn Elementary
Thomas Edison Charter Academy
