Jojo is a one-and-a-half-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who was born with a rare deformity where her kidneys aren’t draining into her bladder properly. In other words, she leaks constantly. This condition is fixable through surgery at Oregon State University, but it will cost between $2000 and $2500 for the surgery. Half of this amount needs to be given up front. Jojo’s surgery is scheduled for December 22, 2016.
Jojo is a special little dog who is the companion for three little girls who love her dearly. They have asked Santa for a Christmas miracle to help them get Jojo well.

Merry Christmas! Jojo is recovering nicely!
Jojo is home with her family: mom, dad, three little girls and Jojo's half sister, Candy. She's doing a lot of resting! The first photo is of Jojo and Candy napping on the couch with dad.

Jojo's surgery went well. The urethra that leads to the bladder was too long. That caused urine to continually leak straight out, which is a constant issue for infection. Mom Sheana did an amazing job keeping Jojo infection free and the tech was very impressed. Laser surgery was used to trim and align the urethra.
Jojo got to go home last night, the same day of the surgery. Mom Sheana and daughter Paige had a 3 hour trip home with Jojo but all of them were so happy and thankful for all of the help you gave with the surgery costs.
Now we just need to wait and see how Jojo responds post surgery. She's only one and a half years old with a great family and three little girls who love her, so this should be a piece of cake after the year that Jojo had of leaking.

December 22: Today is the day for Jojo's surgery! Mom Sheana, daugher Paige and JoJo are on their way to OSU. Paige insisted on being there for Jojo; her two little sisters stayed at home to hold down the fort.
They got to the hospital and little Jojo, of course, leaked all over. Paige is being so strong for her best friend!
