About Rock the Block

Rock the Block is focused on bringing people together to revitalize neighborhoods.

The purpose is to get neighbors and the greater community working together to improve their community.

The program is designed to address the exterior areas of properties including yard maintenance, lighting improvements and repair of porches, railings, windows, and critical home repairs. By completing revitalization projects such as Rock the Block, we can help promote a vibrant, well-maintained neighborhood that leads to healthy families and increased property values. As we work towards a world where everyone has a decent place to live, we know that affordable homeownership is only part of the solution and focus on homeowner home repairs as well.

Midland County Habitat for Humanity welcomes volunteers of all ages, races, nationalities, religious affiliations and economic levels. Some tasks require licensed contractors or skilled volunteers. Other tasks can be learned on the job. Due to safety precautions volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. All volunteers under 18 must have a legal guardian accompany them while volunteering.
