At Mid-South Food Bank our greatest need is for groups of 20 - 50 volunteers on weekdays during normal business hours. We are a Food Bank which means we distribute food to about 340 partner agencies such as food pantries and soup kitchens in our service area. We need your help to distribute food in the three states and 31 counties we serve.
Volunteer groups inspect food donations and sort and pack food which will then be distributed to our partner agencies based on their needs and what they have ordered. Volunteer groups are essential in helping us accomplish this task.
We have two available shifts to choose from: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Volunteers are vital to the success of our mission. Please join us in our fight against hunger.
Volunteers must be a minimum of 10 years old with a chaperone. Volunteer groups will be trained the day of their assignment. Please visit the volunteer section of our website www.midsouthfoodbank.org to view ongoing volunteer opportunities and to submit an online group volunteer application.
Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
