Help us to inform citizens of all ages about the judicial branch of government. Volunteers are needed to act as tour guides (docents) for the Michigan Supreme Court Learning Center exhibits and Michigan Supreme Court courtroom. Located within the Capitol Complex at the Hall of Justice, the Learning Center is a popular stop on the "Lansing trip" for many schools.
Tours last one hour and are scheduled Mon-Fri, 9am to 4pm.
Successful docents have an interest in learning more about state government or law. Experience working with k-12 students is helpful but not required. Training is provided.
Next orientation: Sept/Oct 2014. (Apply by Sept 15.)
