About GREEN TEAM VOLUNTEERS

In an effort to increase campus sustainability and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, Michigan State University is implementing the Be Spartan Green Team as a volunteer program through MSU’s Sustainability Office. Volunteers wishing to help with waste reduction efforts at athletic events will be asked to monitor waste stations at home athletic events (Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Hockey, and/or Football) to help divert recyclable items from going to the landfill, as well as inform game day attendees about recycling options at MSU athletic events.

Qualifications:
-MSU Student
-Interest in sustainability and waste reduction education.
-Enthusiastic and outgoing manner with good work ethic.
-Ability to stand for the duration of their volunteer shift.

Students will attend an orientation/training meeting at the MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Education Center (located on the corner of Farm Lane and Green Way) prior to game day participation. Date/Time TBA.
