About Game Designer
We are looking for motivated individual to work with us on designing an educational interactive game. We are working on designing a curriculum to complement their current education in Honduras but we need to design a game like Mario, or farmville, where we use elements from their community and integrate them with learning of new subjects in a FUN way. We want to design levels and, it will be in spanish-english. As you advance in levels, you build stronger english vocabulary. We are developing the curriculum but we need a programmer to help us develop the game.

Decide on a framework

Find a suitable software framework for developing this game. It could be built on commonly known and widely-used libraries (see list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_game_engines) , or platform specific ones (e.g. Gosu or Crafty JS), depending on marketing goals.
List features and gameplay elements

Identify features and game elements, such as scoring systems, leaderboards, social sharing, onboarding system (how does a user learn to play?)...
