About East Lansing Elementary Math Festival

At this annual event, more than 150 elementary students are led through a series of math exploration tables. Volunteers are needed as group leaders, to shepherd a group of about 10 students through their afternoon. Volunteers are also needed for station leaders, who will be trained in advance to lead an activity for a series of groups.

Application Process

contact Ashley Ahlin at ahlin@math.msu.edu to apply for positions as a Group Leader or Station leader. Parents of participating students are invited to serve as Group Leaders. All parent volunteers will need to complete the background check through the East Lansing Public Schools which is available here: http://elps.k12.mi.us/education/components/docmgr/download.php?sectiondetailid=13244&fileitem=16035

Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
