About 2016 Make a Difference Day at Palmer Home & Local Cemeteries
Make A Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others – a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. This year, the Maroon Volunteer Center and Volunteer Starkville will be celebrating Make a Difference Day on Friday, October 28th from 1 - 4 PM with 3 great service projects at the Palmer Home for Children in Columbus and two of our local cemeteries in Starkville/Oktibbeha County - Odd Fellows Cemetery and Rock Hill Community Cemetery. Volunteers are needed to help with beautification efforts at all sites which includes raking leaves, picking up trash and sticks, trimming hedges, cleaning out gutters, etc.
