About Volunteer Board Director

The MGCC is a 501C3, nonprofit organization. We are currently searching for new board directors to join our volunteer Board of Directors. Directors serve a 3-year term, which ends with the end of the calendar year at the December board meeting, and directors have the option to renew for a second 3-year term. Volunteering is a great way to strengthen your ties to the community, to give back, to gain professional experience, and to promote personal growth. Volunteer board directors do NOT need to reside in Derry. Our meetings are held at 6:00 pm, on the last Monday of the month, 12 times a year (a light supper is served) at our location. In addition, Directors are required to serve on at least one committee, finance, governance or community programming. Directors estimate that they spend 10-15 hours per month on board work including their board and committee meetings. We currently have twelve board directors, and we are looking for additional directors to strengthen our board.
