About Volunteer Board Director

The MGCC is a 501C3, nonprofit organization. We are currently searching for new directors to join our volunteer Board of Directors. Directors serve a 3-year term, which ends with the end of the calendar year at the December board meeting. Directors then have the option to renew for a second 3-year term. Directors do NOT need to reside in Derry (current directors reside in Derry, Londonderry, Auburn, Salem, Hampstead and Chester). Our meetings are held at 6:00 pm, on the last Monday of the month at our location. In addition, Directors are required to serve on at least one committee (finance, governance or community programming).

The above explains some of the board’s expectations, but they don’t point out the rewards of board service! Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community! By volunteering you will gain insight into your community, personal growth, deeper sense of purpose, professional development and new friendships!
