About Library Volunteer

The Manheim Community Library has openings for volunteers. All volunteers must have their state mandated clearances. Library staff can assist with clearances for anyone interested. Volunteer clearances are FREE!
1. Circulation Volunteer - Assist at the library desk to sort, check in, and put away returned materials. This position also helps to keep the shelves neat and in order. Training is provided.
2. Program Volunteer - Assist the library staff to help set up and clean up programs. Greet and sign in attendees upon their arrival at the program. Assist with crafts and activities for preschool, school age, young adults, and/or adults.
3. Food donations - Individuals that are interested in donating snacks, baked goods, and other food related items when needed can provide name, email, and phone to join the list of contacts. Please specify if you like to bake :)

Application Process

An application can be filled out at the library. Or, we can send it to you electronically and you can fill out and drop off next time you visit the library. Please email [email protected] if you have questions or need an application mailed to you.
