Repack in Hunts Point Overview
The Bronx Food Distribution Warehouse distributes food to charities throughout the five boroughs, supplying 64 million meals to New Yorkers in need each day! Volunteers at our warehouse help our staff with our highest-impact initiative by sorting and repacking bulk shipped food and goods for redistribution around the city. No special skills are required.

- Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate
- Volunteers will be asked to present photo ID upon arrival.
Location: Food Distribution Warehouse, Hunts Point Cooperative Market
355 Food Center Drive, Bronx NY 10474
Public Transit: Take the #6 train to Hunts Point, and transfer to the Bx6 bus in front of the gas station. When you board the Bx6 bus, ask the driver to let you out at the stop for the entrance to the Hunts Point Cooperative Market.
Driving: Parking for cars and buses is available. There is a $3 cash fee for cars and an $8 cash fee for buses to enter the Market.
Once you arrive at Hunts Point Cooperative Market ask the guard to direct you to the Food Bank Warehouse. Follow the long driveway to the left. The Food Bank Warehouse entrance is the last door on the left; a small glass door after a line of truck bays.
Climb the stairs to the top floor, where you will be buzzed in. Upon arrival, you'll first see Denise and Juan, the receptionists at the front desk. They will buzz you in and direct you to the break room down the hall. The warehouse professional on site that day will come meet you in the break room.
Volunteers with disabilities: Our Food Distribution Warehouse is handicap accessible. Although the bulk of tasks require lifting and moderate mobility, volunteers of varying physical performance levels are welcome.
