About Mainspring Schools: Volunteer Details

Volunteers at our school can make such a difference - both with our children and our extended community. We look forward to working with a talented and enthusiastic group of volunteers on re-building and repairing areas of our school which are in need of a little love and attention.

Ongoing tasks:
- Garden tending
- Re-painting classroom walls and playground picnic benches
- Raking leaves
- Fixing fall zones on the playground
- Deep cleaning our kitchen and cafeteria area
- Refurbishing shelves and other well-loved furniture in the classrooms
- Playing in the classrooms with our students
- Re-organizing our library
- Creating safe and quiet spaces in classrooms (either either structures or art) for the students to spend 'thoughtful time'

Previous larger job highlights:
- Building our new deck
- Constructing a safe & accessible wheelchair ramp in both the front and back of our school
- Creating a 'Sensory Garden' outside of our Grasshopper & Honeybee classrooms
