About Animal Shelter Volunteers

Louisville Friends of the Animals is always in need of volunteers to serve at our Animal Shelter helping us with shelter animals. Volunteers may socialize the animals (walk the dogs and play with the cats) as well as help with our other everyday tasks including cleaning out pet cages, feeding the animals, washing/folding towels, etc.

Volunteers are welcome to volunteer during our normal business hours as listed below:
Mondays - Fridays - 8:00 AM. - 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Application Process

Volunteers must meet with our Volunteer Coordinator Barbara Yarbrough to go through a volunteer orientation and schedule a time to volunteer.
