About Volunteer for Living Wages
Our mission is to prepare participants to become lifelong learners, to compete successfully in the job market, to become competent parents and family members, and to exercise their rights and responsibilities as citizens through active community involvement.
Living Wages offers a variety of volunteer opportunities from one-on-one tutoring to back office activities:
-Tutor individuals in math, reading, science, social studies, or writing
-Give mini-lessons to small groups of learners on specific topics
-Tutor individual learners in computer skills
-Do some gardening
-Maintain the computers and facilities
-Help with paperwork
-Work on our website
-Coordinate our volunteers
-Produce our newsletter
