About RIver Town Team Spring Tree Planting

Thanks to additional funding from the Bucknell Community Engagement Fund this year, our spring tree planting will feature larger saplings than the tiny ones we have worked with for the past three years. Larger trees mean more roots to start with, so there will be more digging involved and watering. People interested in helping the community and the river and learning about good conservation practices are welcome to join us. We will be planting half the trees at Lewisburg Landing and the other half at Wolfe Field, in both cases near the tops of the banks along the waterways. We would love to have you and your friends lending a hand. We'll be digging, placing the trees, backfilling and watering. If you plan to assist, please contact the LNC office and we will assign you to a site.
