About Help Provide Nutritious free Meals to Salmon area children!

Do you enjoy cooking or meal prep? Don't mind mountains of dishes or love the look of a sparkling clean kitchen? Yearn for the big smiles and hugs of a small child as they share how much they LOVED their meal? We have volunteer opportunities throughout Summer and the School year! Meal plans, menus, food items provided....we welcome your help! During the Summer months - LASP is a USDA Summer Food Sponsoring Organization... prepping primarily lunch meals that are served throughout the summer months at locations where children are involved in activities (library, sports camps, 4H, the park, summer school and MORE!) Volunteers needed for meal prep and clean up, transport and serving! (FREE training provided!) During the school year, LASP feeds up to 70 students a day an evening meal... meal prep starts at 2 pm and serving is at 4:30 with clean up throughout and immediately after the supper meal - Monday thru Thursday. On Fridays, we provide a morning snack and a full lunch (meal prep for lunch starts at 10 am most days and served at 11:30). Very rewarding experience...help us provide HOMEMADE, quality nutrition to Salmon area children!

Are you really passionate about nutrition and want to help families make healthy, budget friendly meals? We are also open to hosting cooking classes either with our middle school students or parents!
