About LEGACY CORPS Volunteer Positions supporting military familes, veterans and their family caregiver

Respite Volunteer Positions:
Volunteers are matched with families close to their neighborhoods to visit each week (10-12 hours). Schedules are flexible and accommodate vacations, school and family commitments.
Volunteers (AmeriCorps Members) commit to one year of service, and monthly training throughout the year. Volunteers are members of a highly trained, committed, compassionate and FUN team!
Members receive a monthly allowance of $167 to off-set costs of their service and are eligible to earn an Education Award of over $1600, to assist with student loans or future tuition- volunteers age 55+ may gift this Education Award to a child or grandchild!!!!
Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) Volunteer Leaders:
PTC leaders co-facilitate two 6-week classes per year. Leader certification and training provided. Leaders receive a stipend for leading classes, and receive on-going support from Legacy Corps staff.

Applications for Legacy Corps volunteers are accepted year-round.
Applications to become a Powerful Tools for Caregivers Leader are available year round.
