About Junior Rescue Club

The Junior Rescue Club is open to kids ages 8-15.
We often get inquiries about children volunteering at LCR. The Junior Rescuers Program is designed to organize, teach, and supervise young volunteers. LCR is dedicated to making a difference and expanding the knowledge of animal owners and potential owners. We want to educate the public about the hardship and neglect many animals endure due to ignorance and lack of knowledge.

Club members will learn through hands-on activities, special clinics and seminars. We work with and study all the animals on the farm including horses, ponies, goats, sheep, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens and more! Sorry, we do not ride during Club time.

Some of the onsite chores to be done include, but are not limited to, sawdust, tub cleaning, pasture maintenance, manure removal, fence painting, barn cleaning, horse handling, grooming, stall cleaning, tack cleaning, small animal crate cleaning, dog handling, and much more!

LCR is looking to build relationships between children and adults with a "hands on" working atmosphere. We are always looking for ideas and suggestions so please let us know if you have any. We also need ideas and places for fundraisers as well as adult volunteers to help with the upcoming projects and events.
