About Volunteer

Lantern Medical Clinic is a Christian-based medical clinic whose purpose is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and provide medical care to the low income, "working uninsured" of the Jackson metropolitan area. Lantern is an after-hours medical clinic run by physician volunteers, initially seeing patients Monday through Thursday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Lantern hopes to have enough volunteers to provide primary care services for two evenings a week and dental and medial specialty services the other two evenings. Latner will be available to patients by appointment, with a few work-in spots each evening.


Please consider volunteering to work with us in htis important ministry. We want to make it as convenient as possible for volunteers, and to that end we are asking volunteers to work no more than once every 6 to 8 weeks. Likewise, Lanter in located in a safe and well-lit area in Pearl (on Highway 80 just east of Kroger).
