About National Public Lands Day

LHVA will be hosting a trail work day along the Lackawanna River and Lackawanna River Heritage Trail.
The # 1 goal is to water treat a new fence that was put in to prevent mold and premature aging of the wood. The fence is over a mile long and we hope to accomplish as much as possible.
The #2 goal is to get boats in the river and remove as much garbage and debris as possible between Elm Street in Scranton and Depot Street in Taylor. Kayak/Canoes will leave from Broadway/Hickory street in Scranton and float down to Taylor. Removing litter from the river.
Water will be provided along with tools and equipment.
