The Loving Mother of Deidre, Clare and Moira entered into heaven with her Guardian Angel. Helen was a caring, strong, compassionate and beautiful woman.

Helen Michelle Smyth (Griffin) of Campbell Hall, New York, an Associate Director of Purchasing for Novartis Pharmaceuticals in Suffern, New York and a 15 year area resident, died on September 9, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Helen was 44 years of age.

The daughter of the late Vincent Smyth and Wilma Pogen she was born in Englewood, NJ on August 18, 1970. Helen grew up in Bogota, NJ. She attended St. Peter’s College for her B.A. and L.I. University attaining a Masters in Finance.

She was the loving wife of Dennis Griffin marrying in October of 1999 at St Aeden’s R.C. Church in Pearl River, NY. The young couple settled in Campbell Hall, NY to start and raise their family.

Helen was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Washingtonville, New York; she was the Chairperson of the Military Affinity Group for Novartis supporting the military and their families. She was an avid supporter of numerous charity works of the Knights of Columbus. As her work mates will attest, she set high goals and expected everyone to exceed them.

Helen is survived by her loving husband Dennis Griffin at home and their children Deidre, Clare and Moira also at home. Helen is also survived by her mother Wilma Smyth, her in laws Eileen and Denis Griffin, her sisters Adria, Margaret, Bernadette, Alice and Mary Kate. Her sister in laws Eileen, Patricia, Deborah, Maureen, Kathleen and Helen, she was also the loving aunt to twenty two nieces and nephews.
