About Media Assistant

Our cats are most likely to be adopted when their unique personalities and interesting little quirks shine through in their biographies and web postings. As a Media Assistant, you have the opportunity to help a homeless cat find their forever home by creating engaging biographies from basic and sometimes limited information about a cat. Volunteers for this position must have excellent written communication skills and creativity, basic computer skills, access to the internet, word processing and presentation software.

Duties Include:
Writing cat biographies for distribution to the media team
Entering new intakes and new adoptions to our online ShelterManager database
Creating individual flyers for our adoptable cats to be featured in our Meet Our Cats book at the adoption center

Time commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week

This position does not require contact with animals, although when limited information about a cat is available, you may need to spend time with that cat at the adoption center to get to know them better.
