Last Spring, we started a new library program Little did we know what a tremendous success it would be ! "Harmonize This" is an inter-generational community singing program, with an email list of 60 people and approximately 15-20 people who meet weekly to sing. We get together to sing, strictly for the joy of singing, no experience necessary (drop-ins are always welcome). After every session, participants say "Oh, I didn't feel like coming, I was so tired, but I'm so glad I came!", "Oh, this feels so good!". Yes, we are so joyful when we leave at the end of the evening. But, we cannot survive on joy alone. Currently, Harmonize This needs help to continue the program for the year. If 1,000 people give $5.00 each - we would meet our annual funding goal. Our goal is to not only continue to sing together with our professional musical director Frank L. Pisani (NY Blues Hall of Fame), but to also continue to support the community by singing at various events. So far we have performed at the Katonah Tree Lighting, Caroling in town over the holidays and performing at the KVL and KVIS annual meeting. Next is the Katonah Village Library 3rd Annual GospelFest ! We hope to branch out further and bring a little happiness to folks in nursing homes.
