About School Year Volunteer JA Program Elementary Teacher (Traditional)

Have you thought abut volunteering but weren't quit sure? Get involved with an organization with proven results that impact our youth. You can make a difference!

Visit a class 5 - 7 times individually at your own schedule. Facilitate fun activities that teach concepts about work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.

Kindergarten Volunteer (Location/Dates ongoing/TBD)
Lead and teach JA Ourselves program where students learn about individual choices, money, the importance of saving and giving, and the value of work.

1st Grade Volunteer (Location/Dates ongoing/TBD)
Lead and teach JA Our Families program where students focus on the roles people play in an economy, students understand the importance of work, and the skills required to get or earn what they want.

2nd Grade Volunteer (Location/Dates ongoing/TBD)
Lead and teach JA Our Community program where students learn how citizens benefit from and contribute to a community's success.

3rd Grade Volunteer (Location/Dates ongoing/TBD)
Lead and teach JA Our City program studies jobs people perform, skills needed to perform jobs, and the impact their work has on a city's economy.

4th Grade Volunteer (Location/Dates ongoing/TBD)
Lead and teach JA Our Region program explores how entrepreneurs use resources and work with each other to produce goods and services. Students understand the skills and concepts needed to start a successful business.

5th Grade Volunteer (Location/Dates ongoing/TBD)
Lead and teach JA Our Nation program provides practical information about the need for employees who can meet the demands of the 21st century job market; particularly high-growth, high-demand jobs.


Application Process

A Junior Achievement volunteer conduct standard form and depending on school/location, location-specific volunteer program application must be completed.

Then, a 1-hour JA program orientation is conducted by Junior Achievement one week prior to the event (either as a planned meeting or an extended lunch period at the company).
