About Volunteer with JA

Junior Achievement is making a positive impact on students in our communities. Through age-appropriate curriculum, students are engaged with hands-on experiences to help them understand the economics of life.

PERSONALIZED CLASSROOM PLACEMENT
JA offers volunteers the opportunity to choose the grade level and school location. All the volunteer needs to do is provide JA with a desired location or grade level and JA will provide the volunteers with available volunteer possibilities. Please contact Sara Hutchings-Schwartz, education coordinator, if you are interested in one of our current volunteer opportunities.

COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING
JA staff provides a one hour training session so volunteers are comfortable visiting the classroom and ready to enjoy their experience to the fullest. Volunteers will be trained in classroom management, delivering the JA lessons and communicating effectively with students and teachers. Watch our JA overview video for volunteers.

MINIMAL TIME COMMITMENT
The time commitment is minimal compared to the significant impact volunteers can make. Please contact Sara Hutchings-Schwartz, education coordinator, for more info at sara.schwartz@ja.org
