About JASC Out of the House Assistant

JASC is seeking volunteers to provide companionship and help with hospitality tasks at our Out of the House program for seniors!
Out of the House is once a week program for seniors providing exercise, counseling and educational opportunities, as well as activities designed for active adults that encourage socialization and combating the isolation and loneliness of inactive seniors.
Research has found that as seniors age, active individuals are more likely to remain in good health than inactive ones.

As the ideal volunteer you are kind, friendly, and have many stories and life experiences to share with our seniors. Volunteer responsibilities include serving snacks, beverages and lunch, light clean-up, and chatting with members of the program. Out of the House meets each Wednesday from 10 am to 1 pm at JASC, 4427 N. Clark Street, Chicago.
