About Office Volunteer

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Front Desk Volunteers are responsible for maintaining Front Desk of the Winship House. This includes answering general questions, office admin work, representing the Japanese Friendship Garden to the public, and more.
AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Front Desk Volunteers are accountable to the Volunteer Coordinator, the Executive Director, and the Executive Board. They will arrive early and sign in and out to track volunteer hours. Front Desk Volunteers will attend an orientation and keep current with Garden changes/events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Volunteers will have a welcoming personality and customer service skills. The ability to self manage tasks, do independent research, and work flexible short term projects and tasks. Once a week commitment Tuesday-Friday (10am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-4pm) for two months.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Front Desk Supervision
● Managing entrance to Winship House
● Assisting with marketing efforts
● Handling mailing efforts
● Data entry and admin work
● Answering general questions about the Garden
