About Be a Volunteer Companion

No Veteran Dies Alone Program (NVDAP) is a program that provides the reassuring presence of a volunteer companion at the beside of a Veteran who is in the last days to hours of life... when family, loved ones or friends are unable to be present. With the support of the nursing staff, NVDAP volunteers are able to help provide Veterans with the valuable gift of presence. These volunteers help to improve the quality of life for our Veterans by letting them know they are not forgotten. No nursing skills are necessary to participate in this volunteer program. Just need to have a compassion and caring heart.
