Annual Campaign 2016-2017

Making a difference in the lives of seniors is what we do best here at Longview.  We’ve worked hard to create an active, vital community where seniors live out their next adventure with like-minded peers and the reassurance that as their needs increase, we’ll be there for them. 

We are pioneers in intergenerational programming, with our Head Start classroom on campus and students from Ithaca College mingling and mixing with our residents, along with Longview residents taking classes and attending theatre, musical and sporting events on campus.  And no matter how big our community grows, we look out for our neighbors: at Longview, no one is ever asked to leave for financial reasons.

We’re able to do this only with the dedicated support of our donors.  Gifts to our Quality of Life fund are used to help the many seniors who are experiencing the paradoxical gift of living longer than they have prepared for. Gifts to the Quality of Life fund make it possible for us to offer a sliding scale fee and other programs to help Longview residents stay in the community they love. An unrestricted gift that can be used for the greatest need also helps us make a difference in the lives of hundreds of seniors who call Longview home.
