Ithaca's Community Fireworks - 7/3/2016

A fundraising campaign for Ithaca Community Fireworks

Lighting up the sky, together!

Thanks to everyone who helped the 2016 Community Fireworks be such a success. Help us make the 2017 Fireworks even better. Support this year's fundraiser here!

The Ithaca Community Fireworks Celebration is a community event in Ithaca, New York. The event is put on by a group of volunteers and is supported wholly through donations from the community. The goal of the event is to celebrate our community by providing an Independence Day inspired event that is free and open to all members of the public.

The event is co-sponsored by the City of Ithaca.

In order to put on the best show possible, every donation counts. While the show itself accounts for more than 50% of our fundraising goal, the remainder goes right back into our community through paying for police, fire, emergency first response, cleanup crews, and more!

About the Organization

Ithaca Community Fireworks

Mayor Svante Myrick spearheaded the efforts to bring this important community celebration back to the City of Ithaca for the July 4th holiday in 2012. Ithaca Rotary is proud to continue the tradition in 2017.

“I worked hard to bring the fireworks back because Independence Day has always been my favorite holiday. It’s one night where every family – no matter where you live, how much money you make, or what your political beliefs are – can come together and look up at the same shared night sky. It’s a celebration of our Country’s independence, and a celebration of our entire community” said Myrick.
