About Volunteer to teach French and German languages with Kenosis Foundation in India

Kenosis Foundation offers volunteers the opportunity to teach French and German in elementary and high schools in Bangalore, India, capital of the state of Karnataka. For students, learning multiple languages is crucial to finding a good job and improving their quality of life. Without strong language skills, these students miss out on higher salary jobs that go to those who can afford a private education. Volunteers can help students gain confidence in expressing themselves in a different language.

French teaching volunteers can also teach in private schools in Bangalore to teenagers between the ages of 15 and 16. Volunteers often travel to other parts of the region on weekends, and the staff, all from the area, are always happy to make recommendations. Volunteers will probably spend about four to five hours at the volunteer placement. The rest of the day will be filled with opportunities to learn about the local culture and customs, field trips to places of interest, and discussions on local issues.

Evening meal times provide another exciting chance to enjoy authentic food provided by the volunteers' host families. The food is delicious and healthy, and takes full advantage of local cooking traditions.
