Volunteer to Teach English in Rural Schools with Kenosis Foundation in India

Hosted by: KENOSIS FOUNDATION

About Volunteer to Teach English in Rural Schools with Kenosis Foundation in India

Kenosis Foundation offers the opportunity to teach English to students and teachers at primary, secondary, or college level in more than 1,000 rural and urban schools in India. Volunteers will work in the schools and organize various enjoyable and creative activities for the children to sharpen their talents and increase their knowledge. Volunteers will assist in a wide variety of subjects and activities, including English, Mathematics, Arts, and Sports.

Because volunteer activities are organized in government and also rural poor schools where acute shortage of teachers exists, volunteers are expected to focus mainly on the syllabus being taught in the schools. The volunteers work continuously to explore the hidden talents in the children and to promote them. Volunteers might find that they learn from the children as much as the children learn from them.

Kenosis can also offer volunteers the opportunity to teach orphans, help them with their English homework, in an informal teaching environment, and to teach art to underprivileged children.
