About Group or individual volunteering opportunities with kenosis Foundation, India

Bringing together a group of volunteers is fun (and easy)! Whether it’s your friends, co-workers, fellow alumni, neighbors, or the regulars on your morning commute, volunteering among a group is a great way to improve your community. The KF makes it a little easier.

As an oriented volunteer, you can register a group of three or more volunteers and lead them on a KF project as a Group Leader. In this role, you will work directly with a volunteer Team Leader and KF staff and local partners to make sure that your group members are ready for the day of the project. To register your group, follow the steps below.

Kenosis Foundation (KF) now offers Teen or Group Volunteer Opportunities to schools and community groups looking for ways to get their teens involved in giving back to their communities. In partnership with community partners and team leaders, Kenosis Foundation works to carefully identify teen-friendly projects. This initiative strives to increase teens’ awareness of and connection to individuals, resources, activities, and institutions in their community. By mobilizing teen volunteers, who are eager to give back and learn, KF effectively meets its mission and supports the success of the many community partners it serves.

We now offer great opportunities for a group of at least 10 volunteers to get involved for short period to teach English and IT skills in rural or urban city based projects. Individuals also can apply and reserve your dates for college credit programs.

Teaching program is run in Government or needy private Primary and higher secondary Schools in rural and urban areas. The volunteers will work in the schools, institutional settings and organize various enjoyable and creative activities for the children to sharpen their talents and increase their knowledge.

The volunteers work continuously to explore the hidden talents in the children and to promote them. The volunteers might find that they learn as much as from them as the children will learn from the volunteers.

The volunteers will assist in a wide variety of chosen subjects and activities, including English, Mathematics, Arts and Sports. Since volunteer activities are organized in Government Schools where acute shortage of teachers exists, the volunteers are therefore expected to focus mainly on the syllabus being taught in the Schools.

The volunteers not only can teach English and IT skills for underprivileged children in schools or institutional care, but also teach other subjects, organize events, teach any art, public speaking, counselling, case studies, photographing, documentary, self-grooming, life skills education, health and hygiene, social skills, sports and cultural activities, embroidery skills and so on.

Other projects for group volunteering or Internship: Teaching and assisting in schools, HIV/ AIDS care, Childcare and Street children or orphanage care homes, Community Health and Hygiene, Counselling women and youth, Disability care, General Nursing, Hospital and health clinic settings, Women and child rights, Nursing and Midwifery, Nutrition and women health, Senior Citizens home, Women empowerment, economic and employment training, Tutor and mentor training and workshop, Youth employment and leadership programs and Mentally and physically disabled children so on.
