About Medan director volunteer

The International Humanity Foundation’s (IHF) mission is to educate the poor and the other half is to educate the world about the poor. Our vision is to strive for a world of leaders and citizens who have interacted with, and are truly knowledgeable about the world's poor. We believe in a "pass it on" philosophy where education is free and available for all who seek it. Those of us who have received a free education pass it on by helping others less fortunate by teaching, interacting and learning. With just a few hours a week, our volunteers, children and sponsors are changing the world we live in. IHF is a non-religious, non-political, non-profit organization that strongly believes in an equal opportunity for all and in preserving the cultures, traditions and beliefs of the marginalized communities it works in.

IHF is currently looking for an at-center volunteer to direct our center in Medan, Indonesia. This comprehensive position provides training, following the individual to work both with the community we serve, as well as administrative tasks that enable an international organization to function. This includes rotational assignments in the core components of IHF, such as center operations, legalities, community development, finance, fundraising, media and communications, and more.
The role requires a hard-working individual with experience as a director or within management. A committed person with intermediate English speaking skills, who cares for children, education and alleviating poverty.
Volunteering within this position will generate valuable experience for anyone wanting to start a career in the non-profit sector, in addition to great leadership skills. Also, it will boost your CV and allow you to gain international experience working with people from diverse cultures. All this while you have an opportunity to explore food cuisine, lake toba, and all other exciting features of Medan.
The role is a live-in position for two years. Free shared room and board are provided, monthly stipends are given to provide for extra expenditures on your days off.
