About VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

International American Relief Society IARS, was established in 2012 as an Usa humanitarian nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to serving the humanitarian, social and educational need of people throughout the world and around the United States to become more self-sufficient in their daily lives; and serve newcomers from diverse cultural background from everywhere in the world specially who are resettled in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska.
IARS is an international Voluntary Agency dedicated to resettle refugees and immigrants, it works locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. our program of public education seeks to increase awareness within the wider communities and among mainstream us about issues of target to the newcomer in their new community.
. IARS works closely with all the private and public sectors and has a board base of base of financial support, which will derive from corporations, foundations, individual contributions, in -kind donations, religious institutions, grants will come from to federal, state, local or international government agencies, we are member of USCRI.
Today, IARS is focusing to develop programs that respond to the needs of newcomers to the country and to increase awareness about refugee and newcomer issues at home and abroad; we are responding to poverty issues in the world.

Application Process

• Join our Board of Directors
Serving on the Board of Directors is another way to volunteer. Board members help guide the organization, specifically with fiscal oversight. Board meetings occur one time a year and committees meet four times a year. Community members also can join a committee of the Board of Directors, without becoming a full board member. Currently, our committees are: finance and personnel, marketing and community engagement, fund Organizational development, and board development.
