About Rescue Bears

The Rescue Bears are a fundraiser for Oak Park teens going through a difficult time and/or in crisis.

"I'm a Rescue Bear. I was created as a sock and I kept feet warm until my mate got lost in the laundry. I was alone and abandoned until the IPMH team took me in and gave me a purpose :) Now I bring a happy smile and warm squeeze to big kids who are going through a difficult time."

Rescue Bears are donated to teens in crisis.

All Rescue Bears are uniquely re-purposed and handmade from socks by the IPMH team. Our goal is to collect 400 socks, re-purpose them as bears and distribute the bears to schools and mental health organizations in Oak Park.

Application Process

Call or email us indicating your interest in helping us to collect socks or actually make the bears.
