About Volunteering at local animal shelter and local animal rescues.
Assisting with kennel cleaning, laundry, dishes, office cleaning, feeding and caring for animals. Assisting with fundraisers and local adoption programs. Assisting with cleaning the grounds. Assisting with office work, filing, computer input. Attending meetings to gain more information on how to proceed and improve care for animals. Taking photos of animals available for adoption and sending them to the local newspaper.
Application Process
come to the Ridgecrest Shelter to fill out an application for volunteer assistance. Call local animal rescues to find out how to volunteer your time.
Family-Friendly
Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
We need volunteers to help with:
Ground upkeep
Assisting with adoption events and fundraisers for shelter and local rescues.
Office assistance, computer input, errands for official staff
Transport of animals to vet spay/neuter and medical exams.
