About Mentor a NYC High School Student!

iMentor is an education non-profit and youth mentoring program working to empower first-generation college students to graduate high school, succeed in college or other post-secondary pathways, and achieve their ambitions through one-on-one mentorships.
iMentor partners with high schools in historically underserved and marginalized communities. We match every student with a mentor and equip our mentors with the resources to support their mentees on the path to college graduation or other post-secondary pathways (gap year, certificate program, workforce, etc.)
Our mentors are 21 years of age or older, who commit to working one-on-one with a student for a minimum of two years. It’s a hybrid program. Mentors write their mentee 1x per week (remote) and meet 1x per month at mentee’s school (in-person) during the school year. It's only a 3 hour commitment per month.
Application Process
The next step to becoming a mentor is to attend a 100% commitment-free virtual orientation: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/imentor-nyc-mentor-orientation-30592041702
