About 40 Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training
House of Ruth is grateful to our many volunteers who are indispensable to our ability to fully serve our families. These volunteers perform a wide variety of services to support our clients, such as answering our 24-hour hotline, assisting clients in our Temporary Restraining Order Clinic, helping in the Shelter’s children’s program, providing childcare or supervising children on outings, providing transportation for Shelter clients, and making community education presentations and advocating for domestic violence victims within the greater community at public events.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, our next training session is January 21, 2016 through February 25, 2016, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm-10pm. Registration deadline is January 7, 2016.
