We need volunteers to help with:

THE EMERGENCY WINTER SHELTER

This task is filled or completed
The shelter is open when the overnight low temperatures are expected to be 15
degrees or lower. The hours the shelter is open for guests is 7pm-7am. 
Shifts are divided as follows:  
6pm-10pm (6-8 volunteers) for set up, guest check in, supervision of guests, serving a
light meal (already prepared) and cleaning up and visiting with guests.
10pm - 2am (4 volunteers) Supervision, check in guests as they come in, clean up,
keep coffee and juice available.
2am - 7am (4 volunteers) Supervision, final clean up with the help of guests when the
wake at 6am. 
Anyone can elect to volunteer for longer than one of the above shifts (ie, 10pm-7am). 
We do ask that if you are unable to make the shift you commit to that you give the
coordinators sufficient notice to find a replacement.  If we do not have sufficient staffing
of volunteers, the shelter will not open and people will be left sleeping outside.
