About Patient/Family Volunteers

Provide companionship to the patient and respite to the caregiver. Patients reside at home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Volunteers visit patients and assist by reading, letter writing, holding a hand, poetry, journaling, music, listening, scrap booking, assisting with meals and sharing special moments. This opportunity is throughout central and southern New Jersey.

Application Process

A 16 hour training is provided before a volunteer can begin. 12 hours of classroom training and 4 hands on/ field training.
