In its ninth year, the HOPE (Hypertherm Owners' Philanthropic Endeavors) Foundation is the cornerstone of Hypertherm's commitment to Community Engagement. As a public nonprofit, the foundation supports a set of core impact areas that includes education, health and wellness, food and shelter, and the environment. More specifically the foundation has responded to community need through support of two strategic funding areas: its SHAPE for STEM program and a Substance Use Disorder Task Force. In these two areas especially, the HOPE Foundation combines philanthropic funding with volunteering and its corporate core competencies for greater positive impact.
To date, the Foundation has awarded millions of dollars in grant support to hundreds of nonprofit organizations located in New Hampshire’s Upper Valley region. All funding decisions are made by a diverse team of 12 Hypertherm Associates representing a cross-section of jobs functions and experience levels.
